Water Features by Design specialises in the design and construction of all types of internal and external water features, including water walls, ponds and spillways. We service residential and commerical clients, and offer a range of water feature supplies for sale direct to the public including water blades, troughs, pumps and lights.
We are a family-owned business based in Perth, Western Australia, and while most of our customers are locally based, but we also service interstate and international customers through our range of pre-made stainless steel and stone-clad features. In order to keep overheads low, we do not have a showroom, but we do have a number of features available for public viewing at various commercial locations throughout the city. The idea of WaterFeatures by Design came when owner and founder Tony Jones completed what is now the first feature in the WFBD repertoire.
After scouring the Perth suburbs in search of something different to enhance his outdoor entertaining area, Tony decided to create an original design from scratch. With the help of his illustrious wife Claire, the couple chose elements to compliment and revive what was at the time, a fairly uninspiring back yard.
A year passed and after numerous requests from friends and family to "build one for me" the idea came to start a business that catered solely for those in Western Australia looking to enhance their garden, residence or workplace with a water feature.
With a university background in psychology and six years of practical hands-on experience in pre-cast concrete, residential and commercial building products and landscape design, Tony Jones offers a range of design and construction techniques that will suit your needs and satisfy local council requirements.
Aaron Mathie

Aaron began his career in furniture manufacturing, racking up nine years of experience in wrought iron, steel and wooden furniture before moving into the construction industry. Aaron specialised in home extensions and renovations, building an extensive knowledge in areas such as brick work, plastering, tiling and grano work.
His wide-ranging experience in building and construction combined with his love of landscape design, is a valuable addition to the WaterFeatures by Design team.

Tony's wife Claire is the founder and owner of local Perth business Little Black Dress which specialises in a range of media, communication and entertainment services. Claire oversees the design and production of all WFBD promotional material and its website.
